1. Who We Are

Teijeira & Sons LLC is a Florida-based company providing lawn care, landscaping, property maintenance, and related outdoor services in Port Charlotte and surrounding Southwest Florida communities. We operate an online customer portal that allows customers to manage information associated with their services.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through:
- Our public website
- Our customer portal
- Contact and estimate request forms
- Service requests submitted through the portal
- Customer accounts and account authentication
- Invoices and payment-related interactions
- Communications with us (email, phone, portal messages)
- Uploaded documents or photos, when submitted
- Careers/job application forms, when active
- Other online interactions with Teijeira & Sons LLC
Third-party services such as Google, Base44, and payment processors have their own privacy practices when you interact directly with their platforms.
3. Information We Collect

When you submit an estimate request, service request, contact message, or job application, we collect the information you provide, which may include:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Service or property address
- Preferred contact method
- Message content or project details
b. Account and Authentication Information
Customers accessing the portal at app.teijeiraandsons.com authenticate through the Base44 authentication system. This typically includes a name, email address, and an internal account identifier associated with your customer record.
Google Sign-In. Where Google Sign-In is enabled as a login option, you may authenticate using your Google account. When you choose Google Sign-In, we may receive basic Google account information you have authorized, such as your name, email address, profile information, and Google account identifier. This information is used only to authenticate you, identify or create your portal account, provide secure access to the customer portal, and associate the authenticated session with your customer record.
Teijeira & Sons LLC does not use Google Sign-In to access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google service. We only request the minimum information necessary to authenticate you.
c. Service and Property Information
When you request an estimate or a service, you provide information about your property and the work requested. This may include:
- Service address
- Requested service type (lawn maintenance, mulching, hedge trimming, yard cleanup, tree trimming, pressure washing, fence installation, or other)
- Project description, preferences, or special instructions
- Preferred service dates, where provided
- Photos of the property or project that you upload voluntarily
d. Estimates, Invoices, and Transaction Information
We maintain records of estimates and invoices associated with your account. This may include:

- Administrative notes associated with your service history
Teijeira & Sons LLC does not directly collect or store your full credit card number, CVV, or full banking credentials on our systems.
e. Payment Information
When an invoice includes an external payment link, you may be directed to a third-party payment processor (such as Square, Stripe, PayPal, or a similar service) to complete the payment. Card and banking information you enter is handled directly by that payment processor under its own privacy and security terms. We may retain payment-related metadata associated with the invoice, such as invoice status (e.g., paid or overdue), amount, and date. We do not currently maintain a direct integration that transmits your card details to our systems.
f. Communications
We collect and retain the content of communications you send to us — including contact form messages, estimate requests, service requests, and emails — along with administrative notes staff may add to help provide services, respond to your inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain customer records.
g. Photos, Documents, and Uploads
You may voluntarily upload photos of your property or project when requesting an estimate. Our crews may also take photographs at service properties to document property condition, prepare estimates, document completed work, record pre-existing conditions, or resolve customer questions. These photos are used for internal service, quality, and record-keeping purposes only and are not used for public marketing without a separate, valid authorization.
h. Careers and Job Applications
If you apply for a job through our Careers page, you provide information such as full name, contact details, address, date of birth, work eligibility indicators, driver's license status, employment experience, availability, and references. This information is used only to evaluate your application.
i. Technical and Automatically Collected Information
When you use the Services, our platform provider may automatically collect limited technical information, which may include:
- IP address
- Browser type and device information
- Operating system
- Date and time of access
- Authentication and session events
- Application activity, error logs, and security logs
This information is used to operate the Services, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and diagnose technical issues.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Services rely on strictly necessary technologies such as authentication tokens, session storage, and local storage in your browser. These are required for logging in to the customer portal, maintaining your session, and providing core functionality.
We do not currently operate our own third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. Our underlying platform provider (Base44) may set cookies or use similar technologies as needed to operate authentication, session management, and application security.

6. How and With Whom We Share Information
We share information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including with the following categories of service providers:
a. Base44
Base44 is the application platform and hosting infrastructure that powers our website and customer portal. Information you submit through the Services may be stored and processed using Base44's infrastructure and its applicable subprocessors for purposes such as hosting, database and application operation, authentication, application functionality, security, and technical operation of the Services. Base44 processes information on our behalf under its own terms and privacy practices. Teijeira & Sons LLC remains responsible for how your information is used within our application.
b. Google
Where you choose Google Sign-In, Google acts as your authentication provider. We only receive information authorized under the OAuth scopes we have configured, which are limited to basic account and profile information necessary for authentication. Google's own privacy practices apply to your interactions with Google.
c. Payment Processors
If an invoice includes a payment link, you may be directed to a third-party payment processor (such as Square, Stripe, PayPal, or a similar service) to complete payment. Those providers process your card or banking information under their own privacy and security terms.
d. Email and Communications
Transactional emails — such as estimate confirmations, service request notifications, invoice notifications, job application notifications, and admin login codes — are sent through the email service provided by our platform (Base44). This provider processes basic email routing information (recipient address, subject, message content) on our behalf.
e. Professional and Business Service Providers
Where reasonably necessary, we may share limited information with accountants, attorneys, insurers, IT/security providers, or authorized contractors performing work on our behalf, for legitimate business, legal, accounting, or operational purposes.
f. Legal Requests and Protection
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process; to respond to lawful requests from public authorities; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Teijeira & Sons LLC, our customers, employees, or the public; to detect or prevent fraud; to enforce our agreements; or to investigate security incidents.
g. Business Transfers
If Teijeira & Sons LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
7. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
Teijeira & Sons LLC does not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This does not prevent us from disclosing information to service providers who help us operate our business, as described in Section 6.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for the period reasonably necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Retention periods vary by type of record and may be based on:
- Providing ongoing services and account access
- Maintaining business, accounting, tax, and invoice records
- Enforcing agreements and resolving disputes
- Preventing fraud and maintaining security
- Complying with applicable legal obligations
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include authentication controls, role-based access, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and platform-level security features provided by Base44. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal information we maintain about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions
- Request information about categories of data we collect and disclose
To submit a request, contact us at info@teijeiraandsons.com or call (941) 310-2786. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request to prevent unauthorized disclosure or deletion. Certain records may need to be retained where required by law, accounting/tax obligations, dispute resolution, security, or enforcement of agreements.
11. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your customer portal account by contacting us at the email or phone number above. Upon verified request, we will remove or de-identify account information we no longer need to retain. Certain records — including invoices, payment records, communications reasonably necessary for our business, and information we are required to keep for legal, accounting, or tax purposes — may be retained.
12. Children's Privacy
Our Services are directed to businesses and adult customers. They are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as external payment links included on an invoice. Those sites and services operate under their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected on this page; where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
